Third UK Police Force Issue Land Rover Theft Warning
A third UK Constabulary has issued a warning to Land Rover Defender owners following the worrying trend in Landy thefts.
The BBC are reporting that Surrey Police have joined the Sussex and Kent forces in advising 90, 110 and 130 owners to take extra care in combating this issue.
There have been 23 thefts in Surrey and surrounding areas this year, with older models being targeted because they did not have immobilisers.
Insp Sonia Lassnig, from Kent Police, said thieves could be taking the 4x4s to use in ram raids or to sell for parts.
This follows on from news we reported earlier in the week that Land Rover Defenders were being stolen for export because of their popularity.
